magical moments

Early summer days and cool autumn afternoons are spent outside in our culdesac. We have quickly appreciated the culdesac life which is typically filled with kids from the whole neighborhood. Addie and Gavin formed quick friendships with these two (Britain and Hadley) as Robert and I have with their parents (Susie/Brandon and Heather/Adam). These days of galavanting outside in the “sac” are few and far between because… well, life. Addie started Kindergarten, Gavin started Pre-K, Susie and Adam started full-time jobs, and I had a baby. Despite the changes in our busy lives we still find chances to hang out with each other when time allows. I think that is why I especially love these days because I am better able to enjoy my friendships that are intertwined with raising tiny humans. It felt fitting to document it for this month. I am so thankful for these friendships that make my heart so full.

In case you are wondering the meaning behind Gavin’s dainty necklace:

Hadley showed up at our doorstep with a self-wrapped gift for Gavin earlier this day. Gavin has had several ear infections since January after having tubes put in. He had just had surgery this morning to have them removed and replaced so she brought him a little necklace that she had made for his ear to feel better <3

and everything in the last picture is technically wrong. It is very much out of focus, but I had to include it because you will always find Hadley loving on Everett.
