magical moments

December for us is pretty chaotic every year (as I am sure it is for most everyone)! We live 2 hours from our hometown which means we have to pack up everyone (including our two fur babies) and spend the holidays away from our own nest. Our family all lives within 30 minutes of each other and we celebrate 3 different times on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so it is definitely far from relaxing, lol. It is hard to believe that in the 7 years that Robert and I have been married we have never spent Christmas morning in our own home! It really hasn’t been an issue until the kids have gotten old enough to believe in Santa. This year was different than the years past though. Both my mom’s side and my dad’s side decided to get together after the holidays which meant we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning relaxing in our pjs, snacking all day, and watching movies… which was THE BEST! This Christmas was so magical for so many reasons. Next year we hope to wake up on Christmas day in our own home and then travel home to celebrate with extended family. What do the holidays look like for your family?
