So, how exactly are mini sessions different from one hour sessions?
Golden hour sessions are truly magical!
This evening light (between 630-730) add a pop and warmth that isn’t easily replicated. Plus, during this time of year there are wildflowers galore! For me, it just doesn’t get any better.
Ok fine! I will admit that these sessions come in at a close second to in-home newborns.
I mean… being in an air-conditioned house photographing a fresh baby is hard to beat 🤣 especially in the summer 😅
I truly enjoy these slower paced sessions that allow me to capture each individual child and their personalities. The bigger the family, the better!
Let me explain how these one hour sessions differentiate from mini sessions. First of all, I get to know you and your family really well and I do this by having a one-on-one meeting with you to get to know your hearts and what makes y’all tick! We do this over a coffee meeting or via zoom.
Secondly, I send you a questionnaire that allows me to get to know you even better. Is there a child that takes a little longer to warm up? What are their favorite shows? Are they so over fart noises on an app?
You also get a personal code for a digital styling tool called Style & Select that takes all the stress out of figuring out what to wear. The super talented Shiloh Colleen with Shiloh Colleen Photograph says this about styling:
How important do you think styling is regarding photo shoots and why?
I think it is more important than the location honestly ha! Styling really brings the session full circle. Finding the right style for your clients preferences and personality adds to the overall flow of the session. If your client feels beautiful in their outfits it will show- same goes for if they feel uncomfortable. I stress the importance of styling because it can really make or break a session.
The last and most important part is that you get to sit back and relax and enjoy your family fully while I capture your love.
